What Haitian Cuisine Means to Me
As a chef, my duty and responsibilities are to make sure that food is promoted and portrayed the right way. As a Haitian chef, it goes even further. My goals are to change the negative narrative, to debunk any myth about our cuisine, to shed light on how beautiful and meaningful our culture is. I had the opportunity to chop it up with Carli Pierson from USA Today and talk predominantly about why I enjoy cooking Haitian food, and what it means to me.
